About Us!

We're an engaged couple, who photograph Weddings and Elopements in New York City and the Hudson Valley. As the Photographers, we are with the Couples for the majority of time during the day. We've seen it all!

In seeing it all, we have developed a great sense for what works and what does not. From Flowers, Officiant's, Ceremony Locations, Transportation, License, Dinner Party's, etc, etc... Elopements are very similar to the large Weddings we shoot (just smaller in size.)

Elopements are chic, cool and can be as beautiful as a large big budget Wedding. You just need to know, the who, what, where, when and how to make it great!

We have an extensive list of Vendors, Locations, Restaurants, Transportation and just the knowledge of all the in's and out's to help you navigate your way through the most important day of your lives!

Once, you book us for the Photography portion of your day, we will be happy to assists in any way we can through our Reference list and just make all the transitions smooth.

Kim Coccagnia is an Internationally known NYC and Hudson Valley based Documentary Wedding Photographer and...

I grew up in a very small town in upstate NY that was known for it's copper pots.

I've been shooting weddings/elopements for over 10 years and started out with street photography.

In the beginning, I spent many hours in the darkroom developing prints, (and getting rashes and headaches from the chemicals) learning about tones, f8, the decisive moment and other valuable and “fun” information.

My photo heros are (In no particular order), Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Brassai, Berenice Abbott and Mary Ellen Mark, as well as current wedding photographers such as Jeff Ascough and Joe Buissink (Just to name a few).

I love couples that are interesting, fun loving, creative, laid back, in love and allow things to flow naturally.

I hate having my picture taken (so I understand if your a bit nervous in front of my lens).

I currently live in Beacon, NY, just north of New York City in the beautiful Hudson Valley with my fiancé Barry, who is the second shooter and right hand man with all aspects of the wedding business. Barry, comes from Hollywood, with an extensive background of work in the TV/Film Business for and with numerous Top Celebrities. (He's got some great stories!)      He is also a die hard Vikings, Lakers and Orioles Fan (Yankee Fans--please don't hold this against him).

Some of our work has been seen in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine and TLC's TV show, "Say Yes to the Dress".... and most importantly by the eyes of the couples who we are lucky enough to shoot for.
