New York City!

"I was in love with New York. I do not mean 'love' in any colloquial way, I mean that I was in love with the city, the way you love the first person who ever touches you and never love anyone quite that way again."

~ Joan Didion, Slouching Towards Bethlehem

Getting married in New York City???

I will be giving couples tips here and there on this blog. Weekly, daily monthly? I'm not sure, so keep checking back.

Today the tip I have for couples involves over-sharing.

When you are staying at a hotel like Gramercy Park Hotel, Ink, The Roosevelt and hundreds of others, mention the word (Wedding) as little as possible. And never mention that you have a photographer.
Why? Because when those words are spoken, Management assumes the worst. They picture a photographer coming in with a ton of equipment, disrupting the flow of their guests and taking up space and basically being obnoxious.

So! Only mention your wedding if it means getting an upgrade or a free bottle of champagne. Or if you need an inside space for 20 minutes.

Cheers!!!

NYC Elopement Packages! - Get Married in New York City!

Whether it's City Hall or Central Park... A wedding in New York City is always magical!

I love elopements and there is no reason a couple should not go "All Out" on their day. So, I have put together some special packages for small NYC Weddings/Elopements.
We offer several options for couples coming to New York City to elope. They are appropriately named "Carrie" "Samantha" "Charlotte"and "Miranda"
They are designed to fit a couple alone running off to be married, couples that would like to bring some friends and couples that would like to do sort of a mini wedding.  (This post was a "Miranda" and they had 15 of their close family and friends.)

Carrie, Stanford and Miranda all include COMPLETE POST PROCESSING, coverage by me, an online private gallery for you to share and a list of recommended restaurants and guides.

We have been shooting elopements for years and know many great spots. Just Ask!

When planning your elopement keep in mind the cost (including license, officiant, 2 hours of photography, location and witness will run only about $1450.00 (Compared to about $25,000.00 for your average wedding)

Please let us know if you have ANY questions or if you are looking for something specific.
If you are having a large wedding (80- 300) We of course have options available for you as well.
Nothing compares to a wedding in New York City and we are so happy to be a part of this with all of you. We look forward to meeting so many of you in the upcoming year!!!
Cheers!
Kim and Barry

***If you would like to get married in the same garden that Miranda and Steve did, the name of the park is Jefferson Market Garden. The fee is $800.00 and will accommodate up to 20 guests. For a larger event contact them for more information. If you want you can just stop by the garden or call Virginia Giordano at 212-598-2181.
